Our Story
For Sumbal William, "Jesus Never Fails" is more than the name of a minstry. It is the testimony of her life.
Born and raised in Pakistan, Sumbal grew up in church under the guidance of her Christian mother who taught her about Jesus from an early age. She was active in church and deeply curious about God, faith, people, and the world around her. She also carried big dreams, including a dream of studying abroad.
Eventually, that dream led her to the United States. But along the way, Sumbal experienced profound loss, including the death of her father. She entered a long and difficult battle with anxiety, depression, fear, and sleeplessness and was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. For nearly five years, the struggle affected her academics, relationships, social life, and almost every area of daily life.
She could continue working toward her dreams, but she could not heal her mind.
Through her mother’s prayers, her own growing hunger for God, and His grace, Sumbal began to experience gradual and partial healing. But healing was not a straight line. Even during Bible school, difficult episodes continued to come in waves.
In 2021, Sumbal began studying at Summit International School of Ministry, graduating in 2023. During those years, God’s Word became an anchor. She learned to hold on to Scripture when her emotions and circumstances felt overwhelming.

While still in Bible school, her class visited Times Square Church in New York City. During worship, she heard the words:
“You spoke and the chaos fell in line.”
The words seemed to speak directly into the chaos she carried within. Her circumstances had not suddenly changed, but hope returned.
Later, “Take You At Your Word” became her class song, a phrase that would become deeply personal to her.
After graduation, Sumbal began working full-time in Philadelphia. There, she encountered people living through poverty, addiction, broken families, disappointment, and shattered dreams. She began to understand that sometimes people need more than someone simply telling them that Jesus loves them. They may need someone to sit with them, listen, pray, encourage them, and help meet a practical need.
Then came a series of moments that stayed with her.
In February 2024, while finalizing her first rented apartment, a Christian couple who had welcomed her into their home gave her a keychain. It happened to carry the exact words: “Jesus Never Fails.”
Later, she saw the same words at a church. Then, one day while riding a bus, she happened to look through the window and saw “Jesus Never Fails” written on a small church building.
To Sumbal, these moments felt like a personal reminder from God:

“All else may fail - but I will not.”
Around the same season, she had a vivid dream of her mind as a book, its pages turning back to her childhood: a child who deeply wanted to know God. She woke with a deep sense of joy, hope, and lightness. It felt as though something inside her had come alive again.
She began to realize something profound: the dreams she had worked so hard for were never capable of healing the deepest places of her mind. Jesus had become bigger than the dream.
That realization became the heartbeat of Jesus Never Fails Global.
Sumbal believes that the Gospel must not only be preached, but lived. Her own journey taught her the value of people who listen, pray, encourage, show up, and help in practical ways. It also taught her to look beyond people’s limitations and respond with grace.
That is why JNF Global is people-driven, not project-driven.
On September 18, 2024, Sumbal returned to Pakistan, leaving behind what she had built in the United States to follow God into a new season of calling and service. God has called her back to her homeland for a new season. God was leading her back to her homeland to serve, help, and share the Gospel with those He placed along her path.
While Pakistan is the present focus of the ministry, the vision is not limited by geography. Sumbal desires to follow wherever God leads, trusting Him to open doors to serve and be a blessing wherever there is a need.
What began as a calling God placed in her life continues to unfold as He leads her and this ministry into the places and people He has prepared. Her desire is to see people encounter Jesus, experience His love, find hope and restoration, and become carriers of His light to others.
The person comes before the project. The ministry seeks to meet people as whole persons and respond to what they actually need - spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, relationally, and practically.
At the heart of this calling is “Leaving the 99 for the One.” Sumbal knows what it feels like to be the one who needs someone to come closer, listen, care, and remind her that she has not been forgotten.

What began as a personal testimony has become a mission:
Jesus Never Fails.
